Dr. Sharmistha Sarkar is a passionate medical professional devoted to women’s health and reproductive medicine. She holds an MBBS degree from the renowned Patna Medical College and Hospital. She further specialized in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Agartala Government Medical College and GBP Hospital. She also underwent short term training in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in AIIMS, Delhi under the guidance of renowned professors Dr Alka Kriplani and Dr JB Sharma.She has vast experience in Caesarean deliveries,vaginal deliveries and other gynaecological surgeries.But due to her special interest in male and female infertility, she went on to pursue superspecialization degree in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery from the esteemed Christian Medical College and Hospital,Vellore,which has over 25 years legacy and is one of the pioneer medical college in starting first test tube baby in India.
